Cape Redfish – also known as ‘False Jacopever’ – are caught by traditional linefishers, in depths of 20 to 275 metres. It is a reddish-brown fish with distinctive patterning and spots on the upper part of the body. The Cape Redfish is a lesser-known, undervalued species with a delicious sweet, firm flesh and incredible flavour profile.
