The Cape Bream is a previously undervalued species that occurs in natural abundance and is harvested year-round. With its cooking versatility, it is well known within local Western Cape communities and has recently gained mainstream prominence through ABALOBI’s Fish With A Story programme.
This product is individually blast frozen for your convenience, the fish is processed as quickly as possible so that you get the same premium quality as the day it was caught.

Only available for delivery within a +/- 60km radius of the Cape Town metropole, the Cape Winelands area (Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek), and in the Overstrand area (Pringle Bay, Bettys Bay, Kleinmond, Stanford, Hermanus) – orders from other areas are also possible, but please email marketplace@abalobi.org for order and logistics confirmation.
Quick ‘n Easy top tip: Simply roast in the oven at 180℃ with parsley, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper until the fish flakes. Add a good squeeze of fresh lemon and chopped parsley. Enjoy with a fresh green salad and baby potatoes.
