Harvested by the Arniston, Struisbaai and Buffeljagsbaai small-scale fishing communities, Carpenter (or Silver) is a delicate, flavour-rich fish. Previously undervalued, this fish is now a sought-after staple in the kitchens of top chefs of the Cape.

Straight from the freezer to the pan, this convenience product is freshly frozen and vacuum-sealed to retain the same premium quality as the day it was caught.

Quick ‘n Easy top tip: For an easy mid-week supper, lay Carpenter Fillets over torn swiss chard and chopped sugar snaps on an oven tray. Drizzle with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice. Season and bake in a 180℃ oven for 8-10 minutes until the fish flakes. Serve with baby potatoes or rice.
